World Book Day 2018

by PTAsocial in March 6, 2018

The “Beast from the East” was determined to disrupt everybody’s plans last week, but some schools ploughed through the Arctic conditions and managed to celebrate World Book Day 2018!

Here are some of the best costumes, events and ideas we’ve seen on social media – well done to all of you 🙂

Merchants Academy in Bristol were treated to a live interactive performance of Revolting Rhymes!

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs had a fabulous turn out for World Book Day, what an array of costumes!

And Copenhagen Primary in Islington had a very special visitor indeed……

This may be the cutest Gangsta Granny we’ve ever seen!

We love this “Read Around the World” idea from Westfield Primary, sharing books set in other countries:

How many Where’s Wally characters have you spotted this year?! Teachers at Carr Junior School in York hiding in the snow!

We love this idea – Book Buddies at All Saints Catholic School in Sale!

Beaver Road teachers getting in the spirit!

This is an epic costume for a David Walliams fan!

And what a fabulous tribute to the #ManchesterBee after the terrible atrocity that happened last year, here are the teachers at St. Andrew’s in Salford:

This school in Solihull created book characters out of wooden spoons – can you recognise any?!

And here are some of the entries for Thornton Primary’s Extreme Reading challenge!

But sadly, this was probably quite apt for a lot of you!!

We hope the snow didn’t stop you celebrating World Book Day 2018! We’d love to see what you’ve been up to, so let us know what events you’ve been holding. Tweet us @PTAsocial or email your photos to us – we’d love to hear from you!

P.S. Want sponsors for your upcoming events? Tell us more and we’ll help you get sponsors!
